Ashton Brookes Monteiro, Esq.

Ashton is an accomplished Entertainment Attorney with over a decade of experience in both the private and public sectors.
Ashton received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University; and obtained his J.D. from New England Law | Boston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
As a paralegal at Wilentz, Goldman, & Spitzer, Ashton worked on plaintiff’s mass tort and class action litigation helping the victims of asbestos exposure. He served as the Judicial Clerk to the Chief Justice of the Trial Courts in the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.
While a legal intern at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Ashton’s investigation findings resulted in a $250 million settlement for defrauded veterans.
Ashton served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Michael F. O’Neill in the Superior Court of New Jersey, where he gained invaluable insights into the litigation and judicial process.
Ashton’s legal experience extends beyond the courtroom. He has held senior leadership roles at Bloomberg LP in the Chief Risk and Compliance Office where he directed critical operations initiatives and managed internal investigations.
At JP Morgan Chase, Ashton advised on complex program management strategies, aimed at achieving business goals while mitigating risks.
Leveraging his in-depth knowledge of transactional law, IP Strategy, and contract negotiations Ashton helps creators protect and monetize their artistic works. His holistic approach ensures that clients benefit from both sound legal advice and forward-thinking business strategy.

Arielle is a Brooklyn-based attorney with over a decade of experience, specializing in intellectual property law, contracts, legal project management, and technology law.
Arielle graduated from Binghamton University with a Degree in Business Management. She received her J.D. from Emory University.
Her background spans major global financial institutions including Bloomberg LP as an Attorney Analyst, Morgan Stanley within Legal & Compliance, UBS as a Technology lawyer, and serving as legal counsel for Alpha Financial.
Her extensive experience in navigating complex legal landscapes within the financial sector translates into winning strategies and invaluable guidance for clients, empowering them to make business decisions with ‘Sound Logic’ and top tier insights.
When not advocating for her clients, Arielle can be found running throughout New York City. She has completed 10 marathons (and counting) and an Ultra Marathon. Her long runs are the perfect opportunity to discover new music, podcasts, and restaurants.
Arielle is deeply committed to giving back to her community, holding leadership roles in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Knock Knock Give a Sock - a NYC based charity supporting individuals in shelters. Arielle believes in the power of community and the importance of helping one another to create positive change.
Oludolapo Akinkugbe, Esq.

Dolapo (p/k/a DAP The Contract) is an entertainment attorney and Nigerian Hip-Hop/Afrofusion recording artist with a background that spans classical music performance, music production, and intellectual property law. After earning his bachelor degree from Brown University, Dap received his J.D. from Columbia Law School.
He began his legal career in the Tech, Media & Telecommunications group at Proskauer Rose LLP, where he worked on a variety of complex IP and technology transactions across industries, including content licensing, music agreements, and emerging technology agreements.
Dap brings a rare combination of music industry experience and legal expertise. Simultaneously, Dolapo has maintained a thriving music career, releasing nine self-produced solo projects, performing at venues worldwide, and collaborating with Grammy-winning producer Mark Ronson. He has opened for Burna Boy, Skepta, and The Cavemen, and in 2025 performed as an official artist at SXSW and the Anti-Social Songwriting Camp in New York.
At Sound Logic, Dolapo brings a unique perspective informed by both his legal training and firsthand creative experience, supporting clients across entertainment, tech, and media landscapes.
Liz Aguiar, Esq.

Liz is an Attorney at Sound Logic, where she advises artists and creatives on a wide range of legal matters, including recording contracts, music publishing agreements, intellectual property protection, and synchronization licensing. She first joined the firm as a legal intern during her 3L year, and returned as an attorney after graduating from the City University of New York School of Law in January 2025 and passing the New York Bar Exam (formal admission pending).
During law school, Liz served as President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, was selected as a student member of the NYC Bar Association’s Entertainment Law Committee, and served as a Senior Staff Editor on the CUNY Law Review. She also gained litigation experience as a paralegal working on antitrust matters at Hausfeld LLP.
At Sound Logic, Liz is gaining hands-on experience in intellectual property law, contract drafting, and supporting creatives and entrepreneurs in their career journeys.
Liz holds a B.A. in Psychology from St. John’s University. Outside of work, she enjoys going to concerts, traveling, playing with her cats, and collecting vinyl records.
